I turned 27 this year. I sometimes still act and think as if I am a young girl. A day without me laughing or being silly is an odd thing. I turned 27 on October 14th.. a few days before heading out to California to attend my cousin’s wedding. It was a joyous occasion and it was fun hanging out with the family. We spent time in San Jose, San Fransisco, and Las Vegas. I wish I had more time there, but I need my vacation days for later (Christmas/New Years). A week after getting back from vacation, Gary and I focused on a major "adult" event. Buying our first house. House hunting and going through this home buying process is what kept me sleepless for a while. After looking around since January, we finally found something that we both loved. It is a 3-story 2100sqft townhome with a 2-car garage, 3 (or 4) bedrooms, 3.5 baths and no lawn to take care of (a plus for us). It is a pet-friendly place and I want to purchase our own puppy to love and adore. It is new construction so it was fun to pick out the flooring and other things that we were able to choose. We were not able to choose the kitchen cabinet color and counter tops, but the selling agent did a fabulous job on it. We love it.

As of right now I am still living with my folks, but I am a frequent visitor to the new place. I plan to move in soon, but there are some complications at the moment. We are picking out furniture and other things for the house, but no rush. I just purchased a set of Farberware pots and pans and my mom plans to purchase some casual dinnerware for us later. We are going to purchase 2″ faux wood blinds, but we are waiting for estimates. So hopefully that will be done tomorrow.
After moving into the house, you realize the tiny things that you need to purchase.. the stuff that you did not think about until you unpack certain things or use the kitchen and it is like.. "Aah! I need to get a flatware organizer!" I guess we will stop by Target or even a discount store like Ross to find some of these items. So many things to buy.. so little money to spend. *Grumbles*
