I am not including the default ones. I use both paid and free apps. Most of the paid ones have a free version or at least a trial.

  • Snap Photo Pro: Better than using the G1 camera on its own.
  • Twidroid: Twitter client. I loved the free version, but decided to buy the pro.
  • Shopsavvy: Very useful when trying to comparison shop.
  • Useful Switches: Has all the settings such as turning on Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and ringer mode all in one screen.
  • Advanced Task Manager: Shows you what apps to kill off as well as what processes are running.
  • Locale: Setup your phone so it has different settings under certain situations. For instance, I have an unplugged mode, plugged mode and low battery mode. When plugged, the display is brighter, screen timeout is set to 10 minutes and Wi-Fi is turned on.
  • My Days: This is a girly one. I usually forget when my period starts so this charts my monthly crimson tide. (TMI, Mel!)
  • AudioManager: Volume control console. You can set the alarm, music, alerts, ringer, system and voicecall volumes.

Here are some of the other apps that I use, but not as often.

  • Barcode Scanner: Scan any barcode or QR codes. I love the QR code function.
  • StreamFurious: I use this to listen to my favorite Shoutcast stations.
