It has been a while now since I started reading manga/manhwa. I think the first manga I read (that was more than say.. 3 volumes) was Hanazakari no Kimitachi e [花ざかりの君たちへ (For You In Full Blossom)]. I downloaded the scans and then started buying the volumes released by Viz. Right now I think I have up to volume 11. I cut down on my manga spending after losing my job at the computer lab. I have not picked it up since I got my current one. I am just too lazy to drag myself to the mall. It is more like I hate going to the mall. Anyway. Hana Kimi is a shoujo manga about a girl going to an all-boys school.

This is the manga description from Viz Media:

Japanese-American track-and-field star Mizuki has transferred to a high school in Japan…but not just any school! To be close to her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano, she’s going to an all-guys’ high school…and disguising herself as a boy! But as fate would have it, they’re more than classmates…they’re roommates! Now, Mizuki must keep her secret in the classroom, the locker room, and her own bedroom. And her classmates–and the school nurse–must cope with a new transfer student who may make them question their own orientation…

I absolutely love this manga and always wished that an anime would become reality. On the other hand, there are Taiwanese and Japanese live-action dramas available. The first being the Taiwanese drama starring Ella from S.H.E. I watched some of it via YouTube, but something about it completely turned me off. I decided not to watch the rest of it. I did not know of the Japanese live-action until it was over. I saw a few clips of it on YouTube and then caught the rest of it via CrunchyRoll. I do like the Japanese live-action and I think I will try out the Taiwanese one again sometime. After I completed watching the live-action, I realized that it was my first time watching a complete Asian live-action drama series (movies do not count). After watching it, I do not have any eagerness to watch more… unless it was Ouran High School Host Club [桜蘭高校ホスト部] or something. Hehe. Yet another gender-bender type series that I love.

While I was reading Hana Kimi for the first time, I had an obsession with Sano Izumi. I had him as my cell phone wallpaper for quite a while.

Sano Izumi

Hot, right? *Sigh* What can I say? I have a weakness against pretty boys. Haha! That should be quite obvious because I love HYDE so much.
